Wine – a product of the controversial studies about the benefits and impact of wine on health are conducted by scientists for a long time. Existing opinions about the impact of wine on health are mutually exclusive of each other: some consider it almost a cure-all, others consider wine to absolute evil. This struggle has been ongoing for over a hundred years, beginning with the medical concept of alcoholism 1849, in 1933, the United States was even a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages (including wine), arguing that the disease was stronger drugs.

Of course, that the immoderate use of wine leads to various negative consequences: diseases of internal organs, mental disorders, alcoholism. But even water, if you drink five liters at one time may cause kidney failure and even death! Based on recent research studies in the area of influence of wine on health, it is possible to give an affirmative answer to the question : “to drink or not to Drink?”

Studying the impact of wine on health, scientists are faced with the so-called “French phenomenon” – despite the fact that the French consume large amounts of fatty food, the country has a low level of heart disease. It was later proven that the cause of this is moderate consumption of red wine. From this moment began more detailed studies of the use of wine.

Wine is an extremely complex organic formation, it is produced by the fermentation of grape juice. It includes about 600 chemical substances, thanks to which the drink gets its unique taste and aroma.

In the contents of a bottle of wine contains:

  • Water. It is the purest water that goes into the wine from the grapes.
  • Ethanol. This is the main (but not only) alcohol contained in wine. It is formed from grape sugars during fermentation. The higher the ethanol content in wine, the sweeter it seems to taste.
  • Sugar. Rather, sugar is also different in wine. Their content depends on the type of wine: dry, semi-dry, sweet (dessert).
  • Acid, passed into the wine during fermentation: tartaric, malic, acetic (etc.)
  • Tannins. Substances which create the astringent feeling in the mouth.
  • Anthocyanins. Painted plant glycosides that give color of a young wine.
  • Aromatic substances, vitamins and nutrients.

The contents of the above substances depends on the wine type, method of production and time of exposure. And despite periodic statements about the dangers of wine as an alcoholic beverage, recent research scientists have shown that moderate consumption of wine protects people from many diseases. Consumption of 2-3 glasses a week normalizes blood pressure and prevents blood clots and atherosclerotic plaques.

There is evidence even that wine reduces the risk of developing cancerous tumors. Pectin, contained in wine, promote the excretion of heavy metals from the body. In wine there are elements that adjust the level of insulin in the blood, which is especially important for diabetics and watching their weight women, because high levels of insulin in the blood increases appetite.

Talking about the usefulness of wine, it must be emphasized that red wine is not better in white, they share some specific properties that one has and does not have (or has to a lesser extent) the other. Also keep in mind that aged white wines are much inferior in the number of nutrients for young wines.

Red wine

Red wine differs from white technology. The fact is that the production of red wine grape skins gives the drink its nutrients, it gives it a distinctive color. Red wine contains more antioxidants than white. Antioxidants – known helpers in the fight against cancer, they reduce the risk of blood clots. Unbelievable but true: grape juice has a much more modest useful properties, however, this does not mean that wine should be consumed immensely. Anemia (anemia), and total blood loss is useful to drink red wine, especially Cahors due to the high content of organic iron, which increase hemoglobin level.

Use for the female figure

Red wine turned out to be useful not only for the cardiovascular system, but as well affects the female waist. A study conducted with nearly twenty thousand women of different ages, showed that women consumed alcohol within a certain time, gain less weight and be less likely to be overweight than ladies, leading a sober lifestyle. This was taken into account the differences in lifestyle and some dietary factors that could also affect a woman’s weight.

Red wine was the best controller weight compared to white wine natural and other alcoholic drinks.

Moderate consumption of red wine – one or two times a day in small doses can be a healthy habit, especially for heart health, at that time, as alcohol abuse can cause severe injury.

Women who drink 1-2 glasses of red wine a day are getting more pleasure from sex than did nondrinkers.

Researchers from the University of Florence compiled data on 798 women aged 18 to 50 years and found a positive correlation between moderate consumption of red wine and overall sexual health, expressed in the so-called Index of Female Sexual Function (Female Sexual Function Index)

White wine

White wine, as the French say, created to quench your thirst because it has a less dense consistency, it contains less flavonoids and tannins. Nevertheless, we can speak about the absence of benefit from drinking white wine. Light white wines to support the heart muscle, improves lung function, contribute to the restoration of metabolism and useful in anemia. Antioxidants though contains a small amount, more easily absorbed than from red wine, because they have a smaller size.

The fly in the ointment

In certain diseases from consuming alcohol, and therefore of the wine, will have to give. These include:

  • Pancreatitis
  • High level of triglycerides in the blood
  • Alcoholism
  • Hypertension
  • Depression
  • Coronary heart disease

Also there is no permanently installed data on the impact of alcohol on pregnancy and the fetus, so if You care about the health of Your baby, it is best to abstain from alcohol during this period.
A day doctors recommend to drink no more than one serving of wine – 120 ml SIP of wine before eating improves digestion, allowing you to cope with excess food, improves mood, makes life better and communication is better.
