The quality of the wine

The wine is a terrific product, and its quality is determined by many factors.

Enough to imagine that from the same grape variety grown on the same site, you can get completely different wines due to seemingly unrelated factors, such as the different sun exposure of the vineyard or a change in the composition of the soil. There are constant factors that determine the taste and quality of wine.

Grape, of course, is the most important factor, followed by factors, United by the French concept of Terroir: geographical position (in some cases it is even more important than grape variety), which affects the growth, the location of the vineyard relative to the sun (explication or exposition); microclimate; soil; cultivation system; the technology of winemaking; harvest (year); dynamics and method (manual, mechanical) of grapes; last but not least, the human factor, both in terms of activities in the vineyard, and at the distillery.

Fortunately, today all adopted the concept that quality wine begins in the vineyard. Undoubtedly, the grape plays a fundamental role, especially in the characterization of the wines.
