Rose de Rice

Rose de Rice (Rosé des Riceys) – quiet (not sparkling) rosé wine from Pinot Noir is a kind of anomaly of the champagne region.

This wine is made in the southern part of the champagne region – in the commune of the Rice Department On (Aube) and its surroundings. He has intense color and a pronounced varietal aroma of Pinot Noir: black cherry and dried herbs.

The grapes are pressed whole bunches and beneficiries partially karbonicheskoy maceration, better known by the bright “candy” wines of the Beaujolais Nouveau.

It is produced only a few manufacturers in very limited quantities, so to meet him outside of France is almost impossible. These wines – even more rare than the other wines “quiet” appellation champagne Coteau Champenois.
