It produces some of the most prestigious and expensive dry red wines of the world of Pinot Noir.\n <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/fd641a8c0a80c39679816ed231d7aa27.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nWithin the boundaries of the commune are 9 Grand CRU vineyards, more than any other Burgundian village (the closest rival Vosne-roman\u00e9e). 8 of them are labeled &#8220;Chambertin&#8221; as a reflection of the recognition of the most respected of them is Le Chambertin.\n <\/p>\n<p>\nOnce the village was called simply Gevrey, but in 1847 the parish Council added to it the name of the most prestigious local vineyards \u2013 Le Chambertin. This practice is rooted in the future, throughout the c\u00f4te d&#8217;or: remember Puligny and Chassagne Montrachet. Today 11 villages of the c\u00f4te d&#8217;or use the names of their best vineyards.\n <\/p>\n<p>\nAlthough the specific focus of the wine grand cru, labels General appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin also worthy of attention. From the Grand CRU vineyards are the most expensive wines of the commune.\n <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/a1331c40e840c7f02ee2678b05d55860.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\nThe premier cru vineyards lie on the Western edge of the village, on higher located slopes of the c\u00f4te d&#8217;or (at the height of 250-350m). The most distinguished of them, the Clos Saint-Jacques (Clos Saint-Jacques) and Le Kazete (Les Cazetiers) often receive evaluations at the level of Grand CRU.<br \/>\nTo the East and North lies the many vineyards of the category the village (village) from which every year there is more wine than with most other communes of the c\u00f4te d&#8217;or.\n <\/p>\n<p>\nEach year, under the appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin (including CRU) produces more than 2 million bottles of wine with 435 hectares of vineyards.
