However, the wine heritage of Hungary encompasses a surprising variety of styles.\n <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/600bc873c0cc6bcd4e79228fdc6ca368.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\n In addition to the famous sweet wines of Tokaji and Bull&#8217;s Blood of Eger, the Hungarian wine Arsenal is a dry white from Somlo (Soml\u00f3), Nesma (Neszm\u00e9ly), and from the shores of lake Balaton and Reds from vill\u00e1ny (Vill\u00e1ny), Sopron (Sopron) and Sexana (Szeksz\u00e1rd).\n<\/p>\n<p>The wine history of Hungary, as usual, goes back to the Roman period, from the time where she had to survive numerous political, religious and economic woes, including Islamic rule in the 16th century, when alcohol was banned, and then the phylloxera epidemic of the late 19th century.\n <\/p>\n<h2>Regions and climate of Hungary<\/h2>\n<p>Modern Hungary&#8217;s wine regions scattered across the country. This is a significant factor in the formation of local climate.<\/p>\n<p> In the whole country the climate is continental, tempered by the water of lakes Balaton and Fert\u0151, creating the conditions for a soft and long period of maturation of the grapes.\n <\/p>\n<h2>Grapes<\/h2>\n<p>Most significant for local wine grapes are presented with a mix of local and international varieties of French origin which are better studied and easier sold.\n <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/94a28e05fbad743bbe4d92ef0d69d5de.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The traditional Hungarian <strong>white variety<\/strong> is a star Tokaj Furmint (Furmint) and Harslevelu (H\u00e1rslevel\u0171) and olaszrizling (it has a, aka Welschriesling in Austria), leanka (Le\u00e1nyka) and kennely (Types). <\/p>\n<p>To him lately has been added a lot of new hybrids like Irsha Oliver (Irsai Oliv\u00e9r), Cersei of futures (Cserszegi F\u0171szeres), marshmallows (Zefir) and Zenith (Zenit), some of which were created directly by the Hungarian ampelography.
